Do not block evaporators

Stock product in refrigerators or freezers correctly, don’t overstock. Keep items away from the evaporator, insuring proper air flow. You will reduce product loss and service costs.

Never use extension cords or power strips

All refrigeration and ice machines need to be on a dedicated outlet and circuit breaker.

Extension cords and power strips reduce amperage to the unit. This can cause component failure due to low voltage and void the manufacturer’s warranty.

No GFI outlets

Reduce nuisance calls and product loss.
Ice machines and refrigeration equipment should only be plugged into a standard electrical outlet, not a GFI outlet.
A better idea, install a GFI breaker.

Clean Gaskets & Door Frames

Clean the gaskets and door frames on refrigerators and freezers once or twice a week. If something spills, wipe it up immediately. They will last longer. Use warm water and baking soda or any other food grade cleaner.

Make sure doors are completely closed

If the doors are not completely shut the products temperature could rise to unsafe levels. Humidity will also enter the case and could eventually form as ice on the evaporator. Ice on the evaporator will raise the air temperature in the unit.

Don’t overstock your reach in

Try to leave an inch or two of space on the top, bottom, sides and behind the product. Proper air circulation helps insure your product will be at the correct temperature and may even save you the cost of a service call.
